Bill Pollock, a forester with over 40 years of experience in leading, guiding and outfitting canoe, backpacking and cross-country ski trips for persons of all ages and abilities, operates TUCKAMOR TRIPS.
His leadership is informal, subtle, reliable and never dictatorial. His sixth sense of wilderness safety comes mostly from experience as a forester and wilderness traveller though he has taken many special wilderness safety courses. His priority is that you enjoy the trip, and by keeping his groups small, he will help you get as much as you want out of it in a safe, exciting and fun way.
He is a fun guide who knows not only the dangerous areas, but also the scenic wonders along the route and is able and willing to provide the challenge and instruction you are looking for.
Bill still dabbles in forest inventories, evaluations and litigations and is a volunteer advisor with the Canadian Executive ServicesOrganisation working on forestry and tourism projects for First Nations people in Canada and on tourism projects in Russia and is a long-time school commissioner with the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board in Quebec. He has completed the Canadian Ski Marathon 19 times and is an accomplished marathon canoe paddler.
